Shadows-on-the-Teche

Shadows_webDavid Greely’s newest album, Shadows-on-the-Teche, is a collection of 14 original tunes based on the history of the plantation house of that name in New Iberia, Louisiana. David studied archival letters and ledgers in search of personalities around whom he could compose these beautiful melodies. This is not Cajun music, but period pieces along the lines of the lovely “Ashokan Farewell,” composed and performed by David on fiddles and the amazing Sam Broussard on guitar.

Shadows-on-the-Teche was made possible by the Art and Shadows Project, the National Trust for Historic Preservation and the National Endowment for the Arts.
